We did it again! The Gilbert School received a Silver Medal from U.S. News & World Report as one of the Best High Schools in the country! This is the second time we have received this honor.

According to U.S. News, "Top-ranked schools succeed in three main areas: exceeding expectations on state proficiency tests, offering challenging coursework and graduating their students."

Founder's Day

Members of the W.L. Gilbert Trust served breakfast this morning to student volunteers to thank them for their service.  Trust President Tom Botticelli spoke to the student volunteers about the importance of their commitment to make both the school community and their community at large a better place. 

Students lay a wreath at Mr. Gilbert's grave on Founder's Day.

Immediately after the volunteer breakfast, William L. Gilbert, Founder of The Gilbert School, was honored by the entire student body.  The Junior Jackets Marching Band played a selection of patriotic music, Head of School, Dr. Serio spoke to the students about William L. Gilbert's life and accomplishments and urged all of the students to model Gilbert's unwavering determination and philanthropy.  The school program ended with a wreath laying ceremony with YellowJacket Marching Band members playing Taps.  

Student Council President and Senior Class President then laid the memorial wreath at the grave of William L. Gilbert at Center Cemetery.
