Summer Work 2019
All summer work is listed below.
Congratulations! You have decided to take on the challenge of an AP/Honors course or courses during the 2019-2020 school year!
With this challenge comes tremendous rigor, responsibility, and accountability for both the instructors of the courses and for the students enrolled in them. Therefore, in order to maintain high expectations for all, we are instituting an official Gilbert School AP/Honors summer work policy and would like all students and parents to be aware of it.
Any student enrolled in an AP/Honors class for 2019-2020 who does not turn in their summer work on the first day of their AP/Honor class, will be automatically dropped from that course into the next level of the course. If no such course exists, the student will work with his/her counselor to determine a replacement.
Please note: students have already received ALL summer work from their AP/Honors teachers and the assignments are posted online on the Gilbert website under the Student Life/Summer Work 2019 tab. Any questions on the assignments should be forwarded directly to their prospective AP/Honors teachers.
Thank you for helping us to create a culture of high accountability, equity, and rigor in our AP/Honors program here at The Gilbert School. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me or Julie McDougall, Director of Student Services.
