Winsted, Connecticut is a small safe town of 8,000 people. It is an area in the top western corner of the state that is full of acres of evergreen trees, lakes, ponds, and plenty of hiking trails. The Gilbert School sits atop a hill in the center of the charming town. The school is located two hours between both historic Boston and exciting New York City. Impressive colleges and universities are found in both of these states where many of our international graduates are studying today.
What is unique about The Gilbert School? Students attending our international program will have; three levels of ESL, ten AP courses, ten Honors courses, over twenty six clubs and activities, nineteen sports teams, and a local community college, Northwestern Connecticut Community College, (NCCC), that partners with our 11th and 12th grade students who want to take college courses at no additional cost for those who qualify.
