Mr. Brintle Named 2025 Connecticut School Counselor of the Year!
In his third year at The Gilbert School, Patrick Brintle has been named 2025 Connecticut School Counselor Association’s School Counselor of the Year. Mr. Brintle was nominated for the award by Miss Lewis and other Gilbert colleagues for his exemplary work with students, families, and school staff. As the recipient of the state award, Mr. Brintle is eligible for consideration for the American School Counselor’s (ASCA) School Counselor of the Year title.
Mr. Brintle, who joined The Gilbert School in 2022 as Director of Guidance, attended the University of Connecticut, majoring in Human Development and Family Services. He received a Masters and 6th Year degree in School Counseling at the University of Hartford. Both Mr. Brintle and his wife are school counselors, and are currently raising two children of their own. This year marks his twentieth year working as a school counselor in Connecticut.
